Mourinho: Liverpool under pressure

Liverpool - Rafa BenitezJose Mourinho believes that Rafa Benitez is under real pressure to deliver the Premiership title for Liverpool.

The Reds have not won the title in 17 years and Mourinho feels that Liverpool have no excuse if the fail to win the Premiership this season, after spending around £40million during the summer transfer window.

Blackburn - Mark HughesBlackburn Rovers boss Mark Hughes has held talks with Benni McCarthy and told the striker that he will not be leaving Ewood Park.

The South African international has been linked with a move to Chelsea, and admitted that he wanted to play Champions League football once again.

Boulahrouz joins Sevilla

Chelsea - Khalid BoulahrouzChelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz will spent the whole of next season on loan at Sevilla.

Boulahrouz did not travel with the rest of the Chelsea squad on the pre-season trip to Los Angeles and will now look for a better season in La Liga.

The Dutchman didn’t enjoy the best of first seasons in the Premiership, most notably when Robbie Keane put him on his backside with a dozen or so stepovers in the 2-1 defeat to Spurs.

Alves wants agreement

Daniel AlvesSevilla defender Daniel Alves is waiting for the club to accept a bid from Chelsea.

Sevilla are said to be holding out for £20million while Chelsea have offered £13million for the Brazilian full-back.

Alves’s agent Jose Rodriguez Baster now wants Sevilla to accept the bid.

Chelsea - Arjen RobbenArjen Robben has insisted that he is still a Chelsea player, despite interest from Real Madrid.

The winger is currently in Los Angeles on Chelsea’s pre-season tour and is looking forward to returning to action.

Robben had previously been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but looks focused on getting back to full match fitness.

Florent Malouda - Your View

Chelsea- Florent MaloudaFollowing the signing of Florent Malouda, we’d now like to hear your thoughts on the deal.

Malouda flew into London for talks on Monday and passed a medical and personal terms.  The French international was keen to leave French champions Lyon and have a fresh start in a new country.

He has signed a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge and Jose Mourinho has beaten Liverpool and Real Madrid in the race for the left-sided winger.
